France legend, Thierry Henry, has picked Barcelona as the team to possibly win the UEFA Champions League this season.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona star heaped praise on the Catalan giants and said their past disappointments could also help them move further in the competition.

The Blaugrana hired former Bayern Munich boss, Hansi Flick as manager in the summer and the team has been exceptional under him.

Since losing to AS Monaco in their Champions League first game, they have bounced back to beat Young Boys (5-0 at home), Bayern Munich (4-1 at home), and Crvena zvezda (2-5 away).

Following their win over Crvena zvezda, Henry told CBS Sports that the Catalan are the favourites to win the competition.

“I think this team right now, has to be considered as one of the favourites to win it (Champions League). Are they going to win it?

“[Sometimes], you need to, along the way, lose a semi-final, lose a quarter final, to know how hard it is to go out. But I do think that they are equipped to go all the way [now].”

DAILY POST recalls that the former France International also won his only Champions League trophy with Barcelona in the 2008-09 season.
