Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti, has warned his team about “dangerous” Atalanta ahead of both sides’ clash in the 2024 UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday.

Both teams will meet at the National Stadium Warsaw in Poland.

The annual UEFA Super Cup is contested by the winners of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

Real Madrid won 2-0 against Borussia Dortmund in the 2023-24 Champions League final, while Atalanta won 3-0 against reigning Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final.

Speaking ahead of the UEFA Super Cup clash, Ancelotti said (via @MadridXtra on X):

“Atalanta deserve to be here, they are a great team and had an amazing season. We hope to be the best team on Wednesday.

“We know they are able to win these games, so we respect them. They are a dangerous team that plays in a unique way.”
