Controversial Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s warning of a potential invasion of Nigeria over the continued killings of Christians in the country.
During a TikTok live session with a Nigerian-born U.S. soldier, the Zazuu Zeh singer issued a bold warning. He cautioned that any American troops attempting to enter Nigeria would not return home safely.
Portable said:
“If U.S. soldiers invade Nigeria, they won’t make it back. The Boko Haram members you hear about? They are fathers, brothers, and husbands. Many of them got involved due to hunger.”
He further suggested that terrorist groups in Nigeria receive substantial support from powerful elites, both locally and internationally.
He alleged:
“Those people you call terrorists have sponsors. The rich ones are behind them. Some are even in government. That’s why the fight no dey end.”
