Martíns Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman and president of the Ratel Movement, has weighed in on the viral clip featuring Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike and young Naval officer Ahmad Yerima.
The video, which has circulated widely online, shows the naval officer remaining composed while the minister appeared to verbally assault and threaten him during duty.
In his response, Verydarkman criticized Yerima, calling him “foolish” and suggesting that he should have defended himself if he were capable. He described Wike as “power-drunk” and accused him of lacking self-respect.
The activist also remarked that members of the military often act like zombies, merely following orders. He mocked Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and asked whether Wike mistook Yerima for the governor.
VDM added that Wike should have contacted Yerima’s superior rather than allegedly trying to seize more land. He further noted that the minister was fortunate not to confront an officer hardened by combat against terrorists, speculating humorously about the potential outcome.
In addition, Verydarkman revealed plans to purchase land for his NGO in Abuja, warning Wike to stay away from the property. He confirmed that he has already identified the plot he intends to acquire.
Meanwhile, some content creators have turned the incident into comedic skits, using the situation as material for humor.
