False reports of the singer’s passing began circulating across social media early Monday, with some users posting edited “RIP” images and tributes.

Veteran Nigerian gospel singer Deborah Fasoyin has refuted circulating rumors of her de@th, reassuring fans that she is very much alive and in good health.

False reports of the singer’s passing began circulating across social media early Monday, with some users posting edited “RIP” images and tributes.

The claims surfaced just weeks after the gospel legend celebrated her birthday on March 1, causing concern among fans and followers.

Her son, Korede, quickly moved to debunk the rumors, describing them as completely false.

He revealed that the family had been receiving numerous calls since midnight from worried relatives and supporters seeking confirmation.

Shortly after, Fasoyin herself appeared in a video message looking healthy and calm, stating, “I am alive… What you are seeing on Facebook is fake.”

The misinformation emerged only days after the de@th of fellow gospel singer Toun Soetan on March 13, a situation that may have contributed to the rapid spread of the false claim before it was clarified.

The incident highlights how quickly unverified information can spread online, while the singer’s response brought relief to fans who had been alarmed by the rumors.
