Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade has expressed disappointment over the postponement of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The biennial competition which was initially scheduled to kick-off on March 17 was moved to July by the Confederation of African Football, CAF, on Thursday.
CAF announced that the postponement was due to “some unforseen circumstances”.
Ajibade took to the social media to express her frustration.
“African women’s football deserves better,” Ajibade posted on X with an emoji of disappointment.
The Super Falcons played two friendlies against Cameroon last week.
