Nollywood actor, Wale Okunnu, has blamed petroleum marketers over the increase in petrol pump price.

In a video shared on social media, Okunnu wondered why the price of petrol continued to increase in Nigeria unlike other parts of the world.

He asked if the government should be blamed for this.

‘’As at Saturday, petrol was N1240 per litre but as at Sunday, March 22, it has risen to N1340 per litre. Please, is it the government that increased the pump price within hours or we the people? What the marketers are doing with the regards to petrol pump price is not small. We know there is war in Isreal and Iran but don’t we have our own crude oil? Why is it that our own petrol is so expense? Other countries that have petrol, why is theirs not as expensive as ours? We are the ones punishing ourselves”
