Nigerian rapper Illbliss has opened up about his emotional journey to fatherhood, revealing that he and his wife waited eight years before welcoming their first child.
Speaking during a recent interview, he revealed that he and his wife discovered they were expecting their first child after a hospital visit prompted by what they initially thought was malaria, only to receive the life-changing news they had long prayed for.

“The doctor said everything was fine, but my wife was pregnant. My wife broke down and I broke down as well. The doctor thought we didn’t want the baby, but he had no clue how long we had waited for that child,” he said.
Illbliss also shared the story of their second daughter, whom he described as another miracle child.
The rapper revealed that the baby was born prematurely during the COVID-19 pandemic, and doctors allegedly advised them to terminate the pregnancy because the child was not expected to survive.
“Doctors told us to flush and get rid of her because she wouldn’t make it, but we refused. We’re staunch Catholics. We believed God would come through, and God did come through,” he added.
According to the music star, seeing his daughter healthy and thriving today remains one of the greatest blessings of his life.
His revelation has since touched many fans, with social media users celebrating his family’s testimony and journey through years of waiting, faith, and uncertainty.
