Argentina captain, Lionel Messi has insisted that his country will fight to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Messi will lead Argentina to next year’s World Cup tournament, holding in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The Inter Miami forward had led Argentina to win the last edition of the World Cup in 2022 in Qatar.

When asked if Argentina can win the World Cup again, Messi was quoted by TouchlineX as saying: “Yes.

“I believe this is a group that will try to win the World Cup again, and will give everything and fight.”

Argentina has already qualified for the 2026 World Cup competition and will hope to defend its title.
