Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has opened up about his recent prison experience, describing it as traumatic and overwhelming.
Speaking in a video, the singer said the ordeal was so intense that it made him reflect on the struggles faced by Afrobeat pioneer and activist Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
According to Portable, what he experienced gave him a deeper understanding of the harsh realities surrounding Nigeria’s systemic problems.
He also revealed that he has decided to change his approach to conflicts, stating that he will no longer handle issues personally but will instead rely on proper legal channels.
Shortly after his comments went public, his management issued a statement confirming that all concerns involving the artiste have been resolved through appropriate means, while thanking the public for their patience and understanding.
