Germany have officially announced their squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with head coach Julian Nagelsmann naming the players expected to lead the four-time champions in North America. Germany remain one of the most successful nations in World Cup history, having won the tournament in 1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014, while also finishing as runners-up four times.
However, after disappointing group-stage exits in both 2018 and 2022, Nagelsmann’s side will be under pressure to restore the country’s reputation on the biggest stage and mount a serious challenge for a fifth world title.
