A widow identified as Salomi Benjamin was k!lled by unknown assailants on her farm in Kafin Tafawa community on the outskirts of Bauchi metropolis.

Her lifeless body was discovered on the farm, about two kilometers from her residence.

According to one of her sons, Simeon, Mama Salomi left home for her farm around 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025 but never returned.

Concerned about her whereabout, the family began a search, only to find her d3ad in the evening.

Alex Markus, a neighbor to the deceased, described the k!lling as both tragic and senseless.

He praised the prompt response of the Yelwa Divisional Police Officer but urged authorities to intensify efforts in uncovering those behind the heinous act.

At the time of filing this report, the Bauchi State Police Command had not officially commented on the incident.
