Singer, Wizkid’s newly-released album, ‘Morayo’ has broken the record for most single-day streams for any album in Spotify Nigeria history.
The album garnered 12 million streams on Spotify Nigeria, twice the previous record held by Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy.’
‘Morayo’ earned 16.27 million streams in its first full day of release on Spotify.
It marks the biggest debut of any African album.
Wizkid also broke the record for the most single-day streams for a song in Spotify Nigeria history with ‘Kese (Dance).’
His song, ‘Piece Of My Heart’ held the previous record.
