A young woman has gone on X to beg for help for her, her siblings and, her mother over their father’s alleged actions.
She said her mother is the only surviving child out of 12 children and has no one to help her.
She said her father has been with the Nigerian police force for 30 years while her mother owned a thriving restaurant business which has now closed due to her mother’s ill health.
However, one day, her father came home and accused her mother of building a house in her father’s village without his knowledge. Â He said a prophet told him this.
The wife denied this but the man insisted the prophet can’t lie and threw his wife out of their room, causing her to start sharing a room with her children.
The man also stopped paying his children’s school fees while they were in secondary school and also left home.
She said he later told them that he has married another woman.
The daughter said her father is now back and wants to throw them and their mother out of the home they built together because he is about to retire from the police force and wants the house to himself.
The daughter cried out that the mother trusted her father completely so allowed all the documents to be in her husband’s name, hence she has no backing if it goes to court.
The father has threatened to take the case to court.
The daughter also said her father has no one he listens to since he is estranged from his two sisters. She said the estrangement between her father and his sisters is because their late mother, who raised them alone, shared her properties between her three children, but her father believes that as the only son, he should get everything, and this made him start fighting his sisters.
