Family and friends are mourning a gallant Nigerian soldier killed in a gun battle with terrorists in Borno State.
Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of filing this report, but one of the family members, Chidinma Obeni Egwu, said the late soldier died while trying to save his colleagues from ‘‘heartless bandits.”
“Can’t believe I will be typing Rest in peace for you nna. Can’t hold back my tears have to wait till now to be sure that what I heard and read were true. What about our discussion for December Uche? you even said you’ll tell bro ekene to tell me sorry for all the times he taunted me. I’m speechless. Don’t even know what to say.”
