Popular Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, also known as Falz, has publicly urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign following the mass abduction of dozens of students and staff from a Catholic school in Niger State.
The incident occurred in the early hours of November 21, when armed attackers stormed St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area, kidnapping over 100 students and staff.
Falz placed the blame squarely on the President, accusing him of failing the Nigerian people:
“YOU HAVE FAILED WOEFULLY @officialABAT TENDER YOUR RESIGNATION NOW!”
The Niger State Police Command confirmed the raid, stating that tactical units, military forces, and other security agencies have been deployed to comb nearby forests in a rescue mission. State authorities, however, also faulted the school for resuming operations without government clearance despite earlier security warnings.
