Nigerian media personality Morayo Afolabi has reacted to criticisms following her interview with actress Ireti Doyle.
Newsunplug reported that, in an interview with Ireti, Morayo asked her why she didn’t drag her ex-husband and was quiet about her divorce. Ireti responded, noting how it wasn’t anyone’s business to know what was going on. She noted that social media users don’t care about people and that no one wins on the internet. She said she wouldn’t give herself up as clickbait or perform for them.
Many slammed Morayo over the question, believing it was an attack on the actress.
Explaining herself, Morayo said Nigerians are always battle-ready. She revealed that Ireti got her questions a day before her interview, and she wasn’t trying to fast one on her.
Morayo said her show brings out the best in people, not otherwise, and it’s all joy for her.
