A Nigerian lady has stirred reactions on social media after publicly criticizing a man who allegedly tried to impress her by sending her ₦100,000.
According to her account, the man had earlier told her he wanted to make a good impression and requested her bank account details. After she shared the information, he reportedly transferred ₦100,000 to her.
However, the situation took a turn when he also sent the transaction receipt as proof of the payment, a move that reportedly upset her.
Expressing her frustration, the woman said the man should feel embarrassed for sending evidence of the transfer after claiming he wanted to impress her.
In her words:
“Imagine telling me you want to impress me. I gave you my account number, you sent ₦100k, and then you still had the audacity to forward the receipt.
Why didn’t you also include your family members’ numbers so I can call them and praise them for raising such a ‘wonderful’ son? You should honestly be ashamed.”
Her remarks quickly sparked debate online, with many social media users weighing in on the situation and sharing mixed reactions.
While some criticized her response, others defended the man’s gesture.
One user commented, “Some people’s sense of entitlement is just too much. That reaction is unnecessary.”
Another wrote, “If someone gifts me ₦100k, I won’t just say thank you—I might even add extra appreciation.”
