Nollywood star Biodun Okeowo, widely known as Omoborty, has threatened legal action after a man publicly accused her of being a thief following a real estate post she shared on social media.
According to Naija News, the dispute started when Okeowo uploaded a video on Instagram to advertise a parcel of land, mistakenly stating the property’s price as ₦50 million. Observant followers pointed out that actress Biola Bayo had previously listed the same plot for ₦40 million.
In the comments, an individual reportedly connected to the film industry labeled Okeowo a “thief agent.” The accusation provoked a sharp response from the actress, who demanded that the commenter produce evidence to support his claim.
Okeowo warned she would make an example of him, saying he did not know the true owner of the property and that she would pursue consequences for what she described as a baseless and damaging allegation.
She said: “That guy sitting beside aunty Jaiye Kuti just called me a thief. On top a property he doesn’t even know the real owner. I’m going to use you as a scapegoat. You must prove that I’m a thief, else.”
