Former Big Brother Naija star Tochukwu “Tochi” Okechukwu has shared his thoughts on the ongoing clash between businessman Blord and social activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) over the controversial iPhone 17 issue, using a cryptic post on Instagram.

Taking to his Instagram story, Tochi criticized what he described as growing hypocrisy among modern-day activists. He wrote:

“Being stubborn doesn’t make you an activist. Real activism requires discipline. Now that you’ve made some money, suddenly the country’s problems have turned into an iPhone 17 obsession. Back when you were in your room drinking pure water, you actually made sense.”

The reality TV personality further addressed the increasing fixation on material possessions and social validation:

“All these flashy phones and gadgets you’re flaunting it’s just noise. You’re no different from the others; it’s the same game, same hypocrisy. You only want to sell your image.”

His remarks come amid the ongoing feud between VDM and Blord, which started after Blord allegedly marketed a customized iPhone XR as the “iPhone 17 Pro Max.” VDM had accused him of deceit and overpricing, sparking widespread debate online.

Although Tochi did not mention anyone by name, many social media users believe his comments were directed at VDM, considering the timing and context.

As the drama continues to trend across platforms, Tochi’s statement serves as a pointed reminder that genuine activism goes beyond fame, wealth, or the latest gadget.
