Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has come under fire after publicly supporting her colleague Regina Daniels, who is reportedly facing a marital crisis with her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko.
In a blunt Instagram post, Yvonne urged Regina to prioritize her safety and sanity, even if it means walking away from her marriage.
“Regina, you are still very young. If there’s violence in your marriage, please carry your bag. There is never sugarcoating for me as long as violence is involved (both for man and woman),” she wrote.
She added that no relationship is worth one’s peace of mind and advised Regina to consider her mental health and her children when making decisions.
However, Yvonne’s comment sparked criticism from social media users who accused her of meddling in Regina’s private life and chasing clout.
Firing back at her detractors, the actress wrote in a follow-up post:
“I can’t see all your negative comments because I’m too busy enjoying the good times with mine.”
