Nigerian comedian Aloma Isaac Junior, widely known asĀ Zicsaloma, has opened up about what he considers his biggest financial blunder: purchasing a luxury Range Rover Sport.
The comedian shared the story during a recent episode of Drink or Spill, an interview series hosted by Pulse Nigeria.
However, his enjoyment was short-lived as the car soon developed persistent mechanical issues, requiring extensive and costly repairs. Zicsaloma said he spent roughly ā¦10 million fixing the vehicle within just three to four months, yet the problems kept recurring.
Frustrated, he eventually decided to sell the car at a steep loss, parting with it for only ā¦11 million. This meant his total financial setback, combining the purchase price and repair costs, amounted to nearly ā¦29 million.
Reflecting on the ordeal, Zicsaloma stated:
āI think itās buying a Range Rover Sport. That was one of my worst financial mistakes. I bought the car for over 30 million and sold it for 11 million within 3 or 4 months. On top of that, I spent about 10 million fixing it.ā
He added that the whole experience was extremely stressful and costly:
āItās just like I threw 30 million and got back 1 million, with a lot of stress.ā
Zicsaloma concluded by noting that the money could have been better spent investing in a business or venture that would have yielded substantial returns.
