Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has said Christians and followers of the Ibadan-based cleric, Michael Ojo Olowere, popularly known as Baba Automatic, would miss him.
In a condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the governor expressed his condolences to the CAC Worldwide, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Oyo State branch and the bereaved family. He described the late cleric as a worthy father of faith.
“I received the news of Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere’s death with shock. Baba lived his life serving God and humanity. He was a God’s General who sought the good of Oyo State and Nigeria and contributed his quota to making it happen,” Makinde said.
The governor’s wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, described the deceased as ‘one of the greatest anointed men of God in this generation, who dedicated himself to the service of God and humanity’.
Olowere was the founder and General Overseer of CAC Oke-Agbara, Ashi, Ibadan, Oyo State.
He was born on September 9.
With his journey into the ministry spanning over six decades, Prophet Olowere spearheaded the planting of several churches within the CAC mission, beginning with the CAC Oke-Imole, Agbowo, in 1978.
