Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has named his two favourites to win the 2026 World Cup ahead of Friday’s draws.
Wenger has picked England and his native France as teams that are likely to lift the trophy.
According to him, the Three Lions could break their major tournament curse at the World Cup.
But Wenger has insisted that Les Bleus, who won it in 2018, are “super favourites”.
“England are one of the favourites of the World Cup,” Wenger said, according to Goal.
“They are always nearly there. And they have to make the step. They have the quality to win.
“But trying to be as objective as possible, I think France are the super favourites.
“Just for one reason. They have more world-class strikers than any other country.”
