68-year-old woman reportedly welcomes first child in Abeokuta

A 68-year-old woman is said to have welcomed her first child in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The woman, who tried for a child for years, reportedly gave birth last week.

Videos shared online show her pacing around her hospital room while reportedly in labour.

Another shows her with her newborn baby.

The Abeokuta mum isn’t the oldest woman to ever have a baby.

Erramatti Mangamma currently holds the record for being the oldest living mother who gave birth at the age of 73 through in-vitro fertilisation via caesarean section in the city of Hyderabad, India.
