The highest goalscorer in England this season, Leon Lobjoit has spoken up about his efforts this season.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is the top goal-getter in the Premier League, but not in England.
Lobjoit, 28, has scored sixty goals this season for his club side Leighton Town in step five of the National League system.
The player has painted the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division red with a remarkable 60 goals in 50 games.
The former MK Dons, Coventry, Northampton and QPR youngster, the 28-year-old has helped Leighton to earn promotion to SPL Division One Central.
The striker told the Hawksbee and Jacobs show that while in Buckingham Town, he scored 62 goals, meaning that the 60 he scored this season is not even his best.
“Obviously I’d had my 62-goal season so I wanted to be in the 60s for the season.
“In the last game, I had a mask on, the one before that I only came on for 20 minutes and so I didn’t use one which was silly of me really!”
Haaland has scored 51 goals in all competitions for Manchester City this season.
“I know he’s going to beat it! He’s outstanding, a beast. I don’t think there’s anyone who can match him or even defend against him,” Lobloit said of Haaland.
