Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, has hailed Ademola Lookman and Alex Iwobi for their performance in Nigeria’s AFCON Round of 16 emphatic 4-0 victory against Mozambique on Monday night.
Lookman and Iwobi were impressive as the Super Eagles thrashed the Mambas in Fes, Morocco.
Lookman scored a goal and provided three assists, while Iwobi played a huge role in the buildup to the Super Eagles’ opening two goals in the first half.
Speaking during his commentary on CAF TV, Oliseh praised Iwobi and Lookman.
“All these started from Iwobi, this is what we call the pre-assist pass. That pass tore the defense apart,” Oliseh said.
“What a finish from Lookman. The goal is what we talk about, but it is the pass that comes before the assist.
“What a pass. We must give kudos to what Iwobi is doing.”
