Armed bandits who kidnapped 10 people in Isapa, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State have issued a one-week ultimatum to the community to pay a N300 million ransom for the release of the victims.

It will be recalled that the armed bandits attacked the community on November 25, 2025, and abducted the victims.

According to the Leadership, the bandits threatened the community, warning that failure to meet the deadline would attract dire consequences.

The bandits vowed to launch another attack on the community to k!ll residents and the abductees if their demands were not met

The head hunter of the Isapa community, Mr. A. Adeyeye, who confirmed the development said the kidnappers had contacted the community to demand the N300 million ransom.

Adeyeye added that the kidnappers initially demanded N500 million but reduced it to N300 million during negotiations.

“The bandits called us on Sunday and said they had reduced the ransom to N300m. We pleaded with them to accept N5m, but they rejected our offer. They said they were giving us one week to meet their demand or else they would k!ll the abductees. They threatened to attack the community again and that this time, they would k!ll a lot of people. The bandits also claimed responsibility for the attack on the Ejiba community in Kogi State,” Adeyeye said.
