Semi Ajayi is nearing full fitness, according to Hull City assistant coach, Dean Holden, NEWSUNPLUG reports.

Ajayi has been sidelined since sustaining a hamstring injury at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations last month.

The injury has forced the centre-back to miss Hull City’s last seven games across all competitions.

Holden revealed that the 32-year-old recovery is going on as planned.

“Semi (Ajayi) is going well, but again, not back in the team training just yet,” he was quoted by Hull Live.

Ajayi joined Hull City on a free transfer last summer after severing ties with West Bromwich Albion.

The defender has scored once in 12 league outings for the Tigers.
