Businessman and singer Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has sparked controversy after giving his rival, Burna Boy (Ebunoluwa Damini Ogulu), a new nickname.
Cubana Chiefpriest traveled to Uyo in Akwa Ibom State alongside his close friend, Davido, to perform at the singer’s concert.
During the event, in response to a fan’s comment about Burna Boy, Cubana Chiefpriest referred to him as “Bingo,” a name typically used for dogs. He went on to suggest that Burna Boy would feel envious due to the level of success Cubana Chiefpriest has achieved in the entertainment industry.
In the same social media post, he lavished praise on Davido, claiming that Afrobeat would be “an illegitimate child” without him. Cubana Chiefpriest also called Davido the “001 of Afrobeat” and described him as the “papa” of the genre.
The post drew mixed reactions from fans. Some accused Cubana Chiefpriest of provoking Burna Boy, while others urged his alleged baby mama, Hellen Ati, to step in and defend him online, as she has done previously. Many fans expressed that they missed her bold online presence and were eager to see her return to social media.
It’s worth noting that tensions between Burna Boy and Cubana Chiefpriest are reportedly linked to issues surrounding Hellen Ati.
