Davido’s fourth studio album “Timeless” has been named “Album of the Year” at the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMAs) 2023.

The project which houses 17 tracks was released on March 31, 2023, through Davido Music Worldwide, Columbia Records, and Sony Music Entertainment.

O.B.O ‘Timeless’ beat Asake’s ‘Work of Art’, Stonebowoy’s ‘5th Dimension’, Omah Lay’s ‘Boy Alone Deluxe’, Amaarae’s ‘Fountain Baby’, amongst others to clinch the ‘Album of the Year’.

The event, the 10th edition of AFRIMMA, was held on Sunday night September 17 at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas.

This award is Davido’s first for his cutting-edge body of work, ‘Timeless’ which swiftly became the top-charting African album on iTunes shortly after its release and also reached number two on the US Apple Music Albums chart.

The African Muzik Magazine Awards (commonly abbreviated as AFRIMMAS) are an annual African music awards ceremony aimed to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity around the African continent and accommodates all musical genres including Afrobeats, Afro-Trap, Highlife, Assiko, Bongo, Genge, Kwaito, Soukous, Coupé décalé and Lingala.
