The collaboration is to promote mental health awareness and well-being among EKEDC’s employees and the public.

Driven by this understanding, EKEDC has recognized importance of mental health and is committed to promoting it among employees and the community.

Mental Health Awareness Week is observed yearly, focusing on raising awareness and promoting mental well-being.

Experts say anxiety is a common mental health disorder that affects millions worldwide.

It manifests in panic attacks, social anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Despite its prevalence, anxiety is often stigmatized, and many suffer.

EKEDC, as championed by Executive Director, Dr. Tinuade Sanda, prioritises mental health of employees and has been partnering the institute for years.

Executive Director of the institute, Dr. Tolu Oko-Igaire, expressed her excitement, saying,

“We are delighted to partner EKEDC to promote mental health awareness and wellbeing. This collaboration will help us reach a wider audience and provide support to those who need it. We believe that together, we can make a significant impact on mental health in Nigeria”.
