#EPL: Be very careful, you look like new Drinkwater – Petit warns Chelsea star

Former Chelsea defensive midfielder, Emmanuel Petit has warned Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall over his situation at the club.

Dewsbury-Hall has endured a difficult spell at Stamford Bridge since his £30m move from Leicester City.

He has not been a regular starter for the Blues under manager Enzo Maresca this season.

However, Petit feels Dewsbury-Hall’s situation ‘looks like the new Danny Drinkwater’ at Chelsea.

“Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall looks like the new Danny Drinkwater at Chelsea,” Petit told Casino Hawks.

“He spent so much time on the bench and ended up going out on loan and that could well happen again with Dewsbury-Hall.

“If I was a footballer being targeted by Chelsea, I’d be very, very careful about making my decision.

“If they don’t have confidence in you then you will end up on the bench and then in the stand and then gone. Be very careful when you join Chelsea.”
