Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes has blamed himself for Leeds United’s opening goal in his side’s Premier League 2-2 draw on Wednesday evening.

Fernandes said he was at fault, adding that he should have been stronger in the second duel because Leeds got the ball after that and scored a goal.

Man United came from a two-goal down to draw against Leeds at Old Trafford, thanks to two second-half goals from Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.

“We are not happy, obviously, with the result,” Fernandes told Premier League Productions.

“Our main goal today was to win the game. We did not.

“The team had a great reaction, it was a massive reaction and great to see it, but it was not the result we wanted.

“It was nothing to do with [team] changes, it doesn’t mean anything, in the first few minutes of the game, we conceded a goal, I should have been stronger in the second duel, I won the first, but in the second I should have been stronger, they got the ball then they scored a goal.

“We have to look forward now to the next game, it is coming quickly. It is them again, away. It’ll be a big game again, but hopefully, a different result for us.”
