Chelsea squad has reacted to the potential arrival of Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge.
Following the withdrawal of Julian Nagelsmann from the race of becoming the boss at Stamford Bridge and Luis Enrique falling down the pecking order following discussions with Chelsea’s hierarchy this month, Pochettino is now the clear favourite to land the job.
The Telegraph reports that the prospect of the former Tottenham boss’s arrival at Stamford Bridge has left the squad ‘positive and excited’.
Tottenham players are said to have sent glowing feedback to Chelsea’s players about the Argentine’s coaching skills and man-management style.
Initially the Blues’ recruitment team had reservations due to the former PSG boss’s previous links to Tottenham but those have ‘subsided significantly’ following positive talks.
