Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said Liverpool are their “toughest” opponents.
Guardiola also named Anfield as a “difficult place” to play.
He was speaking to the media, ahead of their trip to face the Reds in the Premier League on Sunday.
City will be looking to keep pace with league leaders Arsenal, who could be nine points clear ahead of kick-off.
Guardiola said: “Yeah. It is the toughest opponent and a difficult place. The quality of the players and managers, it is tough.
“They remain an exceptional team. Top-class manager and exceptional team.
“The moments are the moments, the season is the season. They always remain a good team.”
