Liverpool icon, Robbie Fowler has called on his former club to pursue Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak.
Fowler sees a resemblance between the Swedish striker and ex-Liverpool star Sadio Mane.
During the 2023-24 season, which wrapped up on May 19, Isak was in top form, netting 25 goals in 40 matches for Newcastle.
Although Arsenal has shown interest in Isak, Fowler believes Liverpool should target the player.
He also highlighted Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins as another excellent option for the Reds.
Speaking to Crypto Casino LTD, Fowler said: “There are two players I would genuinely like to see at the club; Ollie Watkins and Alexander Isak.
“I think Watkins has just signed a new deal, but I’ve got a lot of time for him and I think he is brilliant. Isak, for me, reminds me of Sadio Mané as well. I don’t want to put things in people’s heads, but I think he would be a good fit as well.”
