English football expert and reporter, Kaveh Solhekol has said that Liam Rosenior is the most likely person to take over as Chelsea’s head coach.
This is following the departure of Enzo Maresca, adding that the Blues have been pleased with Rosenior’s job as manager at Strasbourg.
Solhekol talked about the manager situation at Stamford Bridge in a recent interview, saying that the team that won the 2025 Club World Cup has picked their top choice to take over from Maresca.
According to CFCDaily, he mentioned that the most likely person right now is Liam Rosenior.
“He’s not very experienced, but he’s handling Strasbourg well. Some important people at Chelsea have really liked the work he’s done, but moving him to a bigger role would be a risky move,” he said.
Enzo Maresca’s future as the main coach was talked about a lot because Chelsea were not performing consistently before he was fired.
He also did not take part in the press conference after their 2-2 tie with Bournemouth on December 30th, 2025. A situation that possibly suggested he might not be in charge at Stamford Bridge anymore.
Meanwhile, Liam Rosenior, who is expected to take over from Maresca, has English heritage.
Strasbourg are currently ranked seventh in the Ligue1 having earned 23 points from their 16 Ligue 1 matches so far.
His knowledge of English football, from his time managing Hull City, might make it easier for him to adjust quickly if he becomes Chelsea’s new head coach.
