Former Liverpool player, Didi Hamann has urged manager, Arne Slot to drop winger Mohamed Salah from his starting XI.
Hamann believes Slot will lose his job if he keeps starting the Egyptian international in his squad.
He spoke while criticizing Salah for not helping defensively during Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League 4-1 defeat to PSV at Anfield in mid-week.
“There comes a point when you have [got] to drop players. Even big players. Slot has a decision to make, does he get the sack with Salah or keep his job without him?
“What Salah did for that second PSV goal… I think Slot had one chance to take him off straight away; what he did there was disgraceful.
“For a player the calibre of Salah. It pains me to say… but the way he let the player go past him without doing anything to help the team,” Hamann told RTE Sport.
Salah helped Liverpool win the Premier League title last season.
