Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has urged his players to have some rest and recover their energy ahead of their Premier League clash with Arsenal this weekend.
Chelsea will on Sunday host Chelsea in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge after beating Barcelona 3-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
Speaking after the Blues defeated Barcelona, Maresca also disclosed that he has instructed his players to ‘completely switch off’ for the next 48 hours.
I have told the players, next 48 hours, completely switch off, ‘Have a rest. Recover the energy.
“Because [on] Sunday we have Arsenal. My message after the game was just: recover the energy. That, in this moment, is the most important thing.
“Then, on Friday, we start to think about Arsenal. We need to keep the momentum because it’s very nice and it is much easier to recover energy when you win games,” Maresca said at his post-match interview.
