Chelsea boss, Enzo Maresca has suggested three Premier League midfielders who are on the same level as Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice.
Maresca spoke at his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Arsenal on Sunday.
According to the Italian, Manchester City’s Rodri, Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, and Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes are as good as both Rice and Caicedo.
When asked if he agreed that Rice and Caicedo are the best midfielders in the Premier League, Maresca told reporters, as quoted by Metro UK: “I think the Premier League is full of good players, very good midfielders.
“As you said, Moises, Declan, Rodri from Manchester City, Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest, [Bruno] Guimaraes from Newcastle.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Paul Merson has named Caicedo and Rice as the two best midfielders in the world currently.
