Arsenal legend, Ray Parlour believes striker, Gabriel Jesus will decide to leave the club at the end of the current season as the Gunners eye to sell four first-team players in the summer.
Recall that Arsenal have reportedly put four players – Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly – up for sale ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners need to sell at least one of their first-team players in a bid to sign defender Piero Hincapie on a permanent transfer.
Speaking to Metro, Parlour feels Jesus might leave Mikel Arteta’s side to search for regular playing game-time elsewhere.
“I think Jesus might leave at the end of the season, he is at that age where he wants to be playing week in, week out,” Parlour said.
“We could lose him. We had four strikers when I played. That is what I don’t understand. [Regardless of Jesus leaving], bring in another one anyway. That can give the other options a lift because they see the standard being set.”
