Former Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil has slammed Chelsea for selling Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid.
Ozil also hailed Rudiger as the best defender in the world and said Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Victor Osimhen of Napoli can testify.
According to him, the Blues made a big mistake by letting him leave the Premier League club 18 months ago.
The 30-year-old gave an excellent display for Madrid against Mallorca on Wednesday evening, helping the side record a clean sheet before bagging the only goal of the game in the 78th minute.
“Prime Toni Rudiger is just the world’s best defender at the moment. Incredible season for my former club Real Madrid.
“You can also ask [Erling] Haaland or [Victor] Osimhen how good he is!
‘Look what has happened with Chelsea after he left… they are missing his mentality every day,” Ozil wrote shortly after Real’s 1-0 win over Mallorca.
