Ex-Manchester United head coach, Erik ten Hag, has been appointed as the new technical director of Twente.
Ten Hag’s lose job was at Bayer Leverkusen, where he was fired in September after only three games.
The 55-year-old was only able to pick up one point from his first two matches at the Bundesliga side, before he was sacked after the third.
“I think it’s wonderful and special to return to FC Twente, where I’ve been a supporter at Het Diekman since I was a young boy. My football and coaching careers began here,” Ten Hag said.
Ten Hag began his playing career with Twente in 1989 and retired at the Dutch club in 2002.
