The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma yesterday formally informed All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders that he had accepted to run for a second term.

Addressing APC members comprising State Working Committee, local government and ward representatives at the party’s headquarters on Okigwe road, Owerri, the governor hailed the members for their unity of purpose and commitment and enjoined them to cooperate and make the party strong.

He told them that their past mistakes had been forgiven, even as he reminded them that “loyalty is key to the party and that is politics.”

Addressing the crowd of APC members, the National Vice Chairman (Southeast), Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, thanked them for their commitment and support to the party, noting that;

“the national body has unanimously agreed that Governor Uzodimma is the only Imo APC governorship candidate for the November 11 election.”
