Teniola Aladese has shared her growing concerns about safety in her Lekki neighborhood in Lagos, admitting that she no longer feels at ease taking solo walks.

In a recent interview, the actress contrasted her experience in Lekki with her time in Magodo, where walking alone even at 2 a.m. was completely normal.

“Walking was part of my daily routine in Magodo,” she explained, “but here in Lekki, there have been multiple occasions when unfamiliar men have followed me.”

Recalling one particularly alarming incident, Aladese said, “It was only by God’s protection that I got through that day. After that experience, I decided to invest in a treadmill so I could exercise safely at home.”
