Former Premier League goal king, Thierry Henry, has told his old club, Barcelona they are not good enough to challenge the likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the Champions League this season.

Barcelona played out a 3-3 draw with Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday night, coming from behind on three occasions.

With the result, the Spanish giants are 11th in the Champions League table with four games to go in the preliminary stage.

Unless better results come in the next four games, the LaLiga giants might just miss out on an automatic place in the last-16 stage.

Arsenal legend, Henry questioned manager Hansi Flick’s style of football that leaves the defence open, stressing that Barcelona will not come close to challenging Arsenal and Bayern Munich if things remain this way.

Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan remain the best teams in the competition this season. The Gunners, as well of the Italians and Germans have won all their matches and are all tied on 12 points.

Thierry Henry who was on punditry duties on CBS Sports was not happy with the performance of Barcelona after the game and feels that there should a change of attitude especially in their defending.

“The co-ordination [in defence] is so bad,” Henry told CBS Sports.

“You can’t win the Champions League like this, it’s very difficult.

“It’s this game [against Club Brugge], it’s against Paris Saint-Germain, last year it was against Benfica, then it was the Clasico, then it was Inter.

“It pains me to say that because I don’t want to talk about my old club like that.

“But you have to call a spade a spade. You can’t carry on defending like this. Every time hoping to score three or four, to be the team, not now, not in the modern era of football, you can’t defend like that.”
