A Nigerian lawyer has shared the story of how a young lady was made to spend four to five months in prison custody for an offence committed by her brother.

In a video released online, the lawyer with the TikTok handle @celebrity_lawyer1i, mentioned that the victim was arrested and arraigned before a magistrate court for the offence of ‘’grave bodily harm.”

She stated that counsel to the lady stood before the magistrate and argued that the lady wasn’t the one who committed the offence but her brother and asked the court to strike out the case against her.

She further said;

‘’In Nigeria, if somebody wants to deal with you, they will deal with you to be very honest. Even though she has a cause of action to institute a case for malicious prosecution but I am sure did not even explore that. Welcome to Nigeria where anything can happen and nobody gets questionned for it. Sad!”
