Emmanuel Ogbuagu has returned for Abia Warriors’ Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday 16 encounter against Rivers United after his injury layoff.
The defender last featured for the Umuahia-based side in the 2–0 defeat to Shooting Stars in Ibadan.
Ogbuagu’s return is a timely boost for Imama Amapakabo’s side, who are without a win in their last four matches in the league.
DAILY POST recalls that Abia Warriors defeated Rivers United 2–0 in the same fixture last season.
Ogbuagu opened the scoring for Abia Warriors in the game, and Ijeoma Desouza added the second towards the end of the match.
Abia Warriors are currently in sixth position on the table with 23 points from 15 games.
