Oyo State House of Assembly yesterday said it was ready to receive next year’s Budget from Governor Seyi Makinde.
Speaker Adebo Ogundoyin gave the assurance of the readiness during the plenary proceeding, saying all is set to receive the governor and the budget proposal.
In his announcement, while reading message from the Executive, the governor had written to inform the House about his readiness to present the budget on December 5.
It was reported that Makinde had also earlier last Wednesday disclosed his plans and intentions to present the budget to the House of Assembly.
The House, however, adjourned its sitting till December 5.
At the event, the governor is expected to present the budget proposal before the 32-member House of Assembly, accompanied by top government functionaries.
